Larisa Pastushkova Indian Pallette
"Altai -Himalaya two foundations – two poles of the world ", wrote H.Roerich in his diaries during the grand Central Asian expedition route that linked India, Tibet, China, Mongolia and Russia. Starting from the far 15th century, when were the first pioneers, one of them Athanasius Nikitin, Russia established the route to India. With deep ancient layers two nations connected - Russian and Indian. Here is just one example of these connectivity: Russian word “mat’ ” (mother) in Sanskrit word sounds like "mati ." This ancient spiritual affinity between the two nations and cultures - the key to understanding by Russian the essential foundations of Indian culture and once again refer to Roerich: "the heart of India stretching to immense Russia."
Tradition Russian art to show Indian images and motifs comes from 18 century. In the Altai Larissa Pastyshkova is one of the first artists who established the way to India and in her paintings she could show not only external exotic and colorful diversity of Indian land, she could directly show not obvious India, but India which opens in the act of another view, when disappearing playing the goddess of illusion Maya and opens the images in their ideal form, in some eidetic reality.
Before Indian large series of paints, no doubt – this is the creative success of the artist, there were significant paint cycles of the Altai Mountains and Mongolia. Already they were influenced by the "spirit of Asian Art" to the creativity of the artist, which was manifested in a common form, color expressive and symbolism.
Improvisational - impressionistic style connects all of the Indian creations cycle together. Canvases as tesserae combined to a kind of large mosaic of India. There are works that are created with powerful pasty smear ("Near The Source ", "Tibetan Bazaar in Delhi »), and also some works created using light transparent style. Colorful layers shine through each other. The works are perceived as hardened flashes of the aurora Polaris, where images appeared in forms of shadows (" Arba II”). All paints together provide us full artistic story about India is not only real, but also over the world of India, that you can see in everyday scenes, simple unsophisticated subjects, urban and rural images.
Spiritual aspect of India that opened by Pastushkova Larissa was born thanks to creative searching. This searching is unlimited and stores the greatest images and meanings; it will not open to surface glance of the viewer. In is necessary to see all details of the composite moves, to view the logic of movement strokes, gestures and movements of the characters. Then, in a decorative combination of colorful spots, moving forms, melodic rhythms of the lines of paints - quietly, but more and more loudly, to some clean and high chords will begin playing music of India, the music which is reflected the Eternity and Harmony.
